There are many different variations to Marco Polo but this one is our favourite.
Best played with four or more players, decide who is to be it. “IT” goes to the shallow end (by the steps) and says 1,2,3, Marco Polo then with their eyes shut (or better still blindfolded) swims (or walks) around the pool trying to catch victims, once a victim is caught they have to be identified by any sense EXCEPT sight (smelling always makes them laugh, making it easier to guess who they are). Then there become variations: The caught person can either join Marco Polo in the hunt working as a team, or get out of the pool and wait until everyone is caught. OR the first person caught is IT.
